garden on the inside

having lived in many rentals i've developed a love for the potted plant, mostly the beautifully generous succulent. each house move carries memories of hauling these various pots to their new home. even now when we are lucky to have landed a home with a lovely garden i still have a soft spot for my collection of indoor friends.

some spill out onto the doorstep to the garden..

  3. What a lovely home you have featured in Country Style. We live just out of Hobart by the beach. Aren't we lucky to live in such a beautiful place?!

    1. Hi Kat,

thank you for your lovely comment we are truly blessed to have made hobart our home!

in regards to purchasing succulents there are a few places i visit the following places:

The Flower Room, off Criterion Street, hobart, have a good selection of succulents potted up these days and are pretty cheap, some have been a little over watered so i tend to leave them for a while once potted up at home.

Salamanca Market is also a great place to get some beautiful succulents, a stall closer to Davey Street has an end of a table selling succulents for $5.

i recently purchased an amazing aloe vera thats growing tall and well inside from the north hobart florist Flora Gondwana - she has a little succulent stall out the front but they are a little dearer.

      happy hunting!

      essie
